As I drove to host Sunday's Bud-Light Post-Game show on Rock 105.3, I couldn't help but think how much more fun I might have had on Sunday at the beach. Is there a class-action lawsuit we can all join to sue this team for making us continue to watch this season slip through their fingers? Maybe we can sue FOX 5 for buying up the remaining tickets and subjecting us to this inconsistent and mind numbing play. A black out would have sent us all to the beach on 72 degree November 30th in San Diego. The only thing I enjoyed on Sunday was listening to Matt Vasgersian do a football game. I had never heard his NFL work, and I find him to be just as good at football as he is on baseball. We are going to sorely miss him here at Channel 4.
One caller after another on Sunday wanted Norv Turner out, and Marty back in. At least the first five got prizes for getting through. Didn't we all want Marty out in the first place? Here's what I think will happen. Norv gets another year providing he doesn't "loose the team" over the remaining 4 games (and I think he has already). Offensive Coordinator Clarence Shelmon (yes, we do have one of those) takes the post-season fall. While we all know Norv calls the play, AJ Smith will hire a true O/C who in turn will buy Norv and extra year.
As for that "vote of confidence", look for Nick Canepa's UT article tomorrow to address that very topic. Nick has been in touch with AJ and asked the question again. Can't wait to see how he'll spin this one.
